NZ trying to lure Reds star Braid home

    April 27, 2010 - 10:48AM

Queensland Reds star Daniel Braid has been targeted for a return to New Zealand rugby ahead of next year's World Cup.

New Zealand Rugby Union official Neil Sorenson says former All Blacks flanker Braid is one of a number of players the NZRU is showing serious interest.

He says the All Blacks selectors are well aware of Braid's great form this season as the Reds have charged into Super 14 title contention.

Under current NZRU policy, players need to be playing in New Zealand to be considered for the All Blacks.

Richie has been playing quite a bit on the Blindside, but they also need benchmen and of course injuries.
I haven't seen every match of every week, but this year I think he isn't too far from the great ones level.
