I bought a GPS and Don't Know How to Find My Map! Help.

OK, so I bought this TomTom GPS so I wouldn't get lost trying to find my way to Rockingham Rugby Club's new grounds.

Actually that's not true, I bought it for an overseas trip.

Anyway, I had used a hire one before in Sydney, and it seemed easy enough.

My problem is this. I'm going to Europe shortly, and I bought a map of South West Europe from TomTom Home Site, and downloaded it to my GPS.

The computer tells me it is installed on my GPS.

Except that I can't bring up the bloody thing on the GPS screen.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Can I only access it when in the Northern Hemisphere? Am I an idiot? Dont answer the last one, my wife already confirmed that.

Try a "go to" somewhere in Europe and see if it can find it. That will confirm the map is there.

Yeah, but Palmyra could only afford to pay for me to be away for three weeks, so I have to cut down on the time I spend lost in the back blocks. There's this Beast of a man I have to chase up in Valence, France, you see.

Interesting in that Fulvio says it worked. What were the initial instructions? Drive to the airport or to Freo and take a ship?

The initial instructions were to press something that didn't exist on the menu.

By following Gerry's suggestion I looked at alternative possibilities and eventually a pressed a spot which allowed me to access the map.

Whether I will be able to find a course (I was going to use the word "route" but I know what you guys are like) on the map when I get there, is another issue entirely.
