Well - "it was reported" that Mitch was endorsing Richard Graham - again the journalistic lack of quotes may mean that there was an exchange along the lines of:

"Do you think Richard could coach the Force?"
    "Yep"

Not that I am suggesting that integrity takes a second seat to getting a newsy grab.....

MY GOD!!!! has anybody been listening to me!!!!!

I thold you the day Graham signed that he was going to be the next head coach.....wasn't sure whether that would involve Mitch renewing or not but it was def on the cards.

It has always been suss to me that an assistant coach for the Wallabies would settle for an assistant coaching job with the Force without a succession plan.

along with the fact that he's done ppretty much all the media commitments during the matches this season.

He's the man, he will be announced early enough for the off contract players to make their decisions and all will be beer and skittles.....I just hope he's good enough to get us to the semis.

As for Jono's concerns about players moving on because Mitch has played his hand, all they will need is a name.

And if Graham, he sure as hell wouldn't want to miss his Wallaby wage this year, or even maybe next year too, just to give the punters a name.

I can see a reality TV show about the new coach. Maybe we have a bunch of rookie coaches go through a bunch of exercises and events and then we can vote one out each week next year...the winer gets the contract

Nah. After seeing his postings this morning, I reckon Burgs should be Head Coach, with Laura in the mix somewhere (perhaps pre- and mid-game inspiration and advice).

Nathan Sharpe Re-signs Until End of 2011

    Story by: ARU

Nathan Sharpe has re-signed with Australian rugby until the end of 2011.

    PERTH NOW

WESTERN Force captain and Wallabies second row Nathan Sharpe has signed a new three-year contract with the club.
Assistant coach to Nick Graham. Fits the theory nicely and couldn't get a better man for the job.

who ever they select, best to have them come on board next year as an assistant to get to know the players and the club. Handover then will be almost seamless.

If it's Graham, he's already here.

Look at it this way - we were close to beating the Bulls until the last few minutes, and we've beaten the Crusaders and Stormers. Almost all the other games we've played this year we've been under-strength due to our injury list.

Without the injuries we could be considered a finals-standard team (a stretch, maybe, but not far off) and better than last year with what is supposed to be a much worse squad built of juniors and journeymen.

Still think Graham hasn't done a decent job this year?

Tom Fearn would be my pick. West Australian legend, knows the set-up and WA Rugby better than any other.
