Resort town the place for fun

NICK TAYLOR, The West Australian April 12, 2010, 8:57 am

The NZ south island resort town of Queenstown has been a happy hunting ground for the Western Force and big centre Ryan Cross.
In their first appearance two seasons ago, the Force beat the Highlanders 36-28 and again on Saturday John Mitchell's charges showed considerable pluck.
Cross grabbed a double in Saturday's 41-27 victory to add to his five-pointer in 2008 and believes he's returning to the form that had him in Wallaby colours.
"I felt in the last three weeks that I've been playing back into a bit of form," Cross said.
"I'm just happy to be getting a bit more ball.
"It was hard early in the year, a couple of niggling injuries, different back lines, now I feel comfortable and 100 per cent fit.
"I knew it wasn't far away, I just had to keep trying hard and it's come together in the last couple of weeks."
Cross, who continually smashed into the Highlanders central defence said: "I think we laid the platform. Tired them out. They were sick of tackling us by the end.
"I made a few breaks and Sammy Harris came on and did some damage.
"We wanted to attack that area and it paid off in the end. We just kept going there.
"They were sick of tackling, having some big men running through. It paid off in the end.
"In the last 20 minutes we got over the top of them."

I also hope we don't bother with the same game plan, the Blues won't get tired of tackling us!
