Why don't we have Cheerleaders at the home games

does anyone else think that the Force should provide some cheerleaders for the home games. PLenty of talented young ladies around Perth would fit the bill. Something to get the crowd going??

perhaps we need to have an audition process - interested ladies can forward resumes and pictures to either Burgs or myself for initial assesment. Before Final interviews with Coach, TEF and Travelling_Gerry

Perhaps we shouldn't aggravate any of our readers with such an arrogant Mens Club proposition on the subject of cheerleaders, Exile. Why should you five have all the fun? What about Spanky? Skiza?

As I recall, this subject was fully 'fleshed out' (incidentally) on TEFs "House of Pain pfft" thread, where he beautifully summed up the various positions taken by postees in his witty closing post, and he just had to say something about 'big boys' too!

As this is the second thread re cheerleaders, and an end of season hurrah is needed, can I suggest that a poll be created on TWF by Coach to address the issue ?

    Given that Gymnastics Australia is banning bare midriffs for cheerleaders as from next year (already Reds) because of teenage anorexia and self-esteem fears, I'll include these quotes from GA for now ;
"...is keen for cheerleadres to be seen as athletes in sports wear, rather than bimbos in bikinis."
    "cheerleading is for family viewing"

May I suggest 'that for the greater good', the cheerleader poll options be (from TEFs thread)

    ---a)--None
    ---b)--Gymnastics teenagers
    ---c)--Gymnastics adults
    ---c)--Raunchy Dance troupe

(Gymnastics defined as cartwheels & pom poms eg)

I still dont understand why the gymnastics australia idiots are saying that fully fleshed cheerleaders are a bad influence on teenage girls... If they are talking about the cheerleaders being seen as ahletes then maybe, they also need to stop all the female athletes from wearing the skimpy running kit showing their bare midriffs...

Maybe they need to get a clue about self-esteem fears and pick up a womans mag and spot all the anorexic models and all the crap dieting tips they give... and all the fashion ad's on tele showing the little skinny models.

As far as I am concerned, I would prefer to look at the cheerleaders with their bare midriffs than a walking stick of a model with no breasts...

And considering that gymnastics are a hotbed for anorexia and bulimia who are they to talk...

Anyone who's watched a Bulls home game will have noticed the "Bulls Babes".

Now there's something to aim for! As well as being easy on the eye, they really get the crowd going, together with a very good theme song. It creates an atmosphere far better than what we have at Subi, of course significantly helped by the fact that the Loftus ground of the Bulls is a proper rectangular rugby field!
