Crunch time!
I think this needs to be led from "the shed"....Especially if we kick off with "Stand up for the Western Force"...You being the standing Force behind the Force!!
The Shed is where the strenghth to lift the team should start...Always... and no matter how the game is going...It our home ground... make it feel like home!!
Unfortunately I am now with the "prawn sandwiches" brigade..However I am quite prepared to make, as so eloquently put by the coach, "a dick" of myself in my section of the ground to make it work....
Still "Standing for the Ulstermen"
Hope to be "Standing for the Western Force!"
See and here you all tonight!!

You'll never Walk Alone is Awesome if you get behind it!!
Whatever "the Shed" leads I will join
...get one right others will feel right later!!
One voice..One Force!
Go ozhammy, prawn sanga and all!
How's about something simple to start with as the majority of fans are usually pissed ie " We are the Force", in the tune of we are the mods from that great film Quadraphenia
Well, clearly someone at EWF has been following this thread...
We had a suited cheerleader revving up the chants - and IT WORKED!
Huge character game from the team tonight!
And real live support from the supporters - great to see.

I'm still a big fan of the idea of chanting "Stand Up for the Western Force" at the start of the game when they come on the field.
I'd be suprised if this weren't picked up by folk in the "Shed" and then further echoed around the ground.
All we need is about 10 blokes (or shielas with blokely singing voices) willing to sing at the top of their lungs to kick start it.
I need 9 others to join me in the back of shed at the start of the next home game to give it a go, after which time you may then walk back to your seats standing tall, or hunched over in embaressment that no one else in the 18000 to 20000 strong crowd picked up on it....
anyone?
Also - yes, big ups to WF admin for getting a 'Cheerleader', however, Im still dubious about teh character "Westie" ...
I can try to make it on time, Coach. I can't sing like a bloke, though

westie wasnt too bad last night. he spent a good portion of the game inbetween the block where TWF sat for the trial game and my block, he kept the crowd (there at least) going, the kids were laughing at him. and whenever he got in the way and was told to move he did so quickly.
whoever is inside of him would have been sweating like a horse being chased by a glue truck though... poor bugger.
westie is nowhere near as shit as tahman...
Get "westy" to help Coach.
Would suggest you would want to be doing dummy runs for about 10-15 before the main attempt Boss, that way when it is "for real" others will think it is the genuine deal.

I heard the "Suited Cheeleader" was Pocock.......Whoever it was did a darned good job..we need one for each side of the pitch.... wearing earphones so we are all syncronised... How awesome would that be....???

Count me in....
Yep, the RWA Commercial team were earning their pay on Friday night, that's for sure. There were a couple of suited boys revving up the crowd, along with Westie, and they did a damn fine job.
I wonder if that kind of passion from the crowd isn't born out of being a bit down-and-out. Almost from the get-go the crowd were so involved in willing the boys over the try-line, I haven't really experienced crowd like that for a while, I don't think. Was good to be a part of that, even if it didn't go our way in the end.
