    Who is Haig Sare?

Can someone please help me out here.

Perhaps I am missing the point.

Is his Dad the boss of Emirates and therefore gets us all of the big sponsorship dollars?

or Does he have some pics of Mitch that he is trying to keep quiet?

He doesn't seem to do much - yet he has 33 Caps for the Force. has scored 4 tries in 4 and a bit years.

Is he doing stuff that I am not seeing?

To me it feels like he is keeping an exciting youngster out of a position.

I never rated him in 2008 and last year he had the odd moment of brilliants. Now this year I actually think he has potential of becoming a good winger Maybe a late bloomer??

Sare is alright. He's not had that much game time at the Force but he hasn't ever been appalling and you need depth in your squad. He is fairly versatile (case and point of the Jack of all traders but master of none) and we shouldn't bag him in the current injury situation. Credit to him he came off a big injury to play 80 minutes against the Brumbies- that can't've been fun.

James its not a case of bagging him for the sake of it - I have just spent the last hour looking for his "highlights". I didn't really find much.

I appreciate your opinion, perhaps I need to start playing closer attention to him when the ball heads in his direction.

I agree with James for the most part.

He is a bit small for today's outside backs, but has good skills and is a really good spare parts man. I don't think he's ever be in the 1st XV if all squad members are fit and available, but he'd be in the 22 very comfortably because of his versatility.

If he plays community rugby I recommend you go have a look - he is way, way above that level and is a huge stand-out. I guess my point being that he is a solid S14 player without being a star.

Pretty boys get highlights, rugby players play rugby. Check the "lowlights" reel - Sare holds up pretty well. Whlst not a "star", if only every player were as consistent.

If nothing else, he has filled a hole for 160 minutes with a still not recovered Achilles injury while Mitch tries to work out what the f to do with the rest of the Backline.
He'll never be a star but he is a handy Squad man.

If Warhorse was here he'd be smited out of the state for this antiforce sentiment
Haig is a club rugby player at best who got beaten to a pulp by henners
He's probably a good bloke but hopelessly out of his league in super 14
He is famous for scoring the winning try against the Crusaders at Subiaco in 2006 that was incorrectly disallowed thus foiling the biggest boilover in the history of rugby union. It was a conspiracy
Hence Haig is the reason for the suspicion and paranoia of west coast rugby fans as they wallow in their murky pools of hate
You could find a better winger in second grade in any country rugby club

Now in my moleskin trousers and my Williams boots
Aboard an outlaw as he leaves the chutes
In my goose neck spurs I rake their fiery hide
And the girls all shouting around the ringside
Oh he's the Fulla from Cunnamulla
    Yeah he's the Cunnamulla Fulla

my ears are ring.. mr three post wonder sure knows how to stir the pot.

Haig had one of his best games against the Brumbies.. when he is forced to stand up he does in style..thats all he should be asked for.. we cant have 15 superstars or we'd end up like a certain soccer team in Spain, all bark & no bite.. Haig is the jelly that holds the meat, hes the lettuce in the salad.
    etc...

Sare is there as cover for the back line. He isnt an amazing player, but is sufficient to come off the bench and offers some depth to the team. He has shown loyalty to the Force as well and while not a super star, I am glad he is in the team.

yes, he has a bit of mungrel in him which is quite odd for a back. I like it as you see him hitting rucks. however he has a tendancy to get a little bit quiet in games, and i haven't really seen him in position with the back three to take the return kick...

    i agree good, not spectacular.

agree Ecky,he played in the centres in a few games for Neddies a couple of seasons ago & carved the opposition up big time.
probably lacks that extra bit of pace to be a very good winger at Super 14 level

I've never been a fan of Sare since the jaw incident, but he definitely stood up in the Brumbies match and had a great game. Think he's pulled his weight without being an outstanding player

So he is lacking pace a bit, but has decent skills. Sounds a little like a centre to me.

But his size might play against him.

Does anyone know how he went at Biarritz?
