Big, strong, takes it to the line strong, perfect parry for rabbit's thrust (or whatever that saying goes). However that was a few years back. I think he left Bristrol and has been in Japan. Will be an asset regardless, as a 10 he'll be able to run the show and get the best from everyone else.

Interesting, looking at his Wiki profile it would seem he has moved on and is back in NZ.

If he had been here pre-season there would have been an interesting discussion between him (being credited as the man behind using the plastic kicking tee) and Andre` (possibly the last pro player using sand)! Wonder if that is why Andre` made the change, maybe he was given a Halligan signed tee

Halligan would have lectured Andre on goal kicking imo.

But i'm still pretty sure at 44 he would be a perfect fly half for us. He could probably play union if someone showed him what a ruck was. And would run rings around whoever Hill is.

I think he went back to NZ quite a while ago and flew back for his coaching committments. He has been the one of the expert commentators for the Warriors home games on Fox for quite a few years.
He did play for Waikato, same team as John Mitchell IIRC, in the old NPC before he went to RL. But he was always a winger. No way a back could be tough enough at 44.

I think he was our kicking coach untill last season or the year before. If i remember correctly he would do kicking practice with JOC before every game?

Ok, one more thing. What if we clone Halligan and Harris and Hill, because they have the same first letter of their last name. Take DNA and then make a super clone to play Force Fly Half. He will have the kicking skills of Halligan, Handling skills of Hill, and the skill of..........maybe being tall for Harris!

Halligan was a very good rugby player (predictable) and better leaguey (mainly due to his boot) and the worst commentator I have ever heard. Why would a TV channel employ a person with a speech impediment? Ian Jones is near as bad.
