Seats - Ok (mine had bird poop on it!!)
    View - Pretty Darn Good
    Access to Food/Booze/Loos - Excellent
Scoreboard - Acceptable (When you could catch the score check glimpse on the big screen)

Comments I heard around the park were positive, even though the boys lost they weren't "blown away" and overall most everyone was happy with MES.

Yep, people were walking up and buying tickets, and while it's a shame it wasn't completely pre-sold, there's nothing wrong with walk-up punters getting a chance to see a game.

One thing annoyed me (apart from our neighbours needing Combantrin) was that the entire front row of our block was empty. Some young lads from who-knows-where grabbed them, so at least they were put to use.

I used the self upgrade option and took a seat near some friends, when i should have been standing. Don't know how many but definately not at capacity. There were still people arriving after kickoff.

MES is so far superior to Subi it is not funny.

Access to food stuffs and toilets etc was brilliant. Seats were better than subi. So close to the action. Quick and easy to get in (didn't have to line up at all). The ground cleared extremely quickly at the end as well.

Just need a scoreboard and/or a gameclock and/or a big screen that isn't hidden behind the shed

You'll may see that all year. From one of the previous threads, the understanding was that the view from the first row is restricted by the handrails and the seats weren't going to be assigned. If that is the case and folk that would otherwise be standing use them, I'd find it hard to be too bothered...

Ah, I was wondering about that. Anyway, wasn't annoyed at the self-upgraders, was more annoyed that they were empty in the first place.

How did they get in the reserved seating zone. The security guards at our entrance were like the Gestapo, wanting to check the location of my seat every time I skipped out for a beer.........

Front row doesn;t get sold as they are deemed too low, however there must be seats made available to the ARU and these may or may not get used. I know that on Friday night that teher were family of Brumbies players given front front row seats.

Yeah- I saw that the front row was left empty at the Mungos yesterday, but the security dudes kept chasing people out of there, so I didn't realise it was actually because the view wasn't too good.
