    LIMITED SEATS ON SALE THURSDAY

The Emirates Western Force will release a strictly limited selection of seating at ME Bank Stadium for the club’s blockbuster season opener against the Brumbies at ME Bank Stadium on Friday night.

This will be the first opportunity the general public have to purchase a seat for the match and with a high demand you’ll need to act quickly when they go on sale at 9.00am on Thursday, 11 February through Ticketmaster (call 136 100). All seats in this release will be in an alcohol free allocated area.

These are the very last seats available at ME Bank Stadium for the Super 14 season opener. Remaining standing room tickets are also selling very fast and can be pre-purchased through www.westernforce.com or Ticketmaster.

So there are actually seats left.

I believe that the plan was always to sell some "seats" for each game.

Does that mean some seat upgrades were refused to make room for these seats to be free?

Nah I reckon there'd be a handful of silver/nickel/iron seats that would've been left over. I mean surely there must be seating room for 12k at MES and we only had about 10k members last year. Plus I reckon a fair few members would've opted for standing membership over seated. I like the terraces.

Unless I was taking little ones there is no way I would pay "double" (considerably more anyway) to sit thirsty at one end rather than stand at the other, I don't care how good or bad the seats may be, that just doesn't make sense or cents.

Which long term may work in RWA's favour in developing one end as genuine "Family Stand" when they develop to a genuine stadium.

    This rather pisses me off.

When I purchased my tickets (as a member hence priority) I was only able to get general admin. I then hear that they screwed that up and if I contacted them I could get upgraded to seated. I contacted them well before the cut off date, but havent heard if my tickets were upgraded or not. They have arrived but went to the post office as I wasnt home when tehy were delivered, so I dont know if they were upgraded or not, and wont find out until I am able to get to the post office friday morning.

I am glad to have tickets, but I really hope the Force sort out their ticket sales in the future because this has got me questioning my membership.

You can ring them up to find out if you were upgraded (or you can check online to see how much your credit card was debited). Here's hoping!

I found them really helpful when trying to arrange the seat change for MiniGIGS, All I had to do was call, provide a member number and identify myself and they sorted the whole shebang out with a phone call and an email. When I checked again a couple of weeks later, they told me over the phone what seat he was in.

I guess there'll be some people who haven't had as smooth a service in the changeover, because it must have been a massive job. Maybe I just got them on a good day!

I would have thought this late release of seats may well become the norm, as RWA releases to the public/members whatever seats they've kept back but remain unused. If so, it should certainly be encouraged - better that than empty seats.

There are heaps of seat left.... mainly nickel ones or is it iron ore or mineral sands ?? they have upgraded the loyal early members (who asked) which kind of stinks really as a Gold member $435 is f.. ken steep to sit on a scaffold bench, so be it They beat this season up to say there would be members only and they havent got as many as last season!!!

Get there early tomorrow I would as there will be confusion on the front I would say???
