    No stadium in budget ???

Article on state government mid year financial statement ......

There were no provisions in the forward Budget for the Perth foreshore development, the Royal Perth Hospital refurbishment or an outdoor stadium and only money for planning for a new children's hospital to replace Princess Margaret Hospital.

I heard Barnett interviewed about the foreshore development and questioned on this aspect. His response was that it had not been presented in the Budget process so was not there yet - but would be when the new State Budget was brought down.

Assume the stadium is the same??

There is not the remotest hope in hell he will make any sort of decision before it becomes clear what is happening with the soccer WC bid. Mind you, it is just a delaying tactic. I really can't see them waiting until the Federal gov't can no longer postpone spending the money - somewhere around 2017, I'd estimate - before doing something with Subi.

Hmm Subi upgrade won't happen until Gorgon is flowing - Soccer World Cup will dictate what happens with ME - same old same old - they '' have a problem getting re-elected if they don't actually do something though
