It would seem Sydney players are only allowed to progress to the Waratahs.
Steady on Burgs - no chip on the shoulder mate - just some gentle fishing from the east.

    Not much bait was needed.

Ah yes, that wonderful chestnut, "was just fishing", covers all manner of ill conceived notions.
I guess the media are "just fishing" when they use similar lines too?

Burgs any time I use "poach" in this forum it will be a fish. You blokes are like the Reds and Brumbies supporters and have a bit of a chip on the shoulder against guys from the big smoke - and I would be the same if I lived in Perth, Canberra or Brisbane - God forbid.

They jump out of the woodwork sometimes like one of Pavlov's dog's when the dinner bell is heard.

It's a bit of fun - don't take it so seriously. It's childish I know - but nobody is perfect.

[PS "God forbid" was a fish too.]

If I had a chip on my shoulder that would imply I believe "guys from the big smoke" to be better off or more fortunate.

That's not the case at all, it's more that in general I find them ignorant, insular and myopic, believing Parramatta to be rural and Penrith the sticks, with anything beyond the mountains foreign or to be raped for their own benefit.

Having experienced both, I wouldn’t swap it for quid’s and can fully understand why so many who visit the other backwaters you mention choose to stay.

I don't think too many have even bothered to stop in for a visit. Even Mudskipper wasn't stupid enough to stay.

I don't have anything to prove to you "Pontiff", I was simply stating a position, you choose to make it personal, so keep your advice on suggested action to yourself and we'll go a long way towards getting along.
