The text of the WA Rugby press release says that SANZAR require the alternate jersey to be white. Looks like the Force didn't have much say in keeping the yellow and black. Would still like the old Spirit top to be adopted by the Force, though.

Not sure that it has to be white..just that there should be a dominant (?)secondary colour.

I understand the relevance/significance of the gold and black in terms of state representation but never really took to the "away" shirts.

Now, had the shirts been identical to the stripped Perth Spirit jerseys, then my view on the matter would have been different 'cause I loved that damn shirt!

In conclusion, were it not for the fact that I purchased a "new" jersey earlier this year, I most definitely would have acquired the new "away" jersey ($135 or whatever).

i believe the white away strip was a soccer thing, so that people on B&W TV's can tell which team is which, a bit redundant now though.
