I am a bit worried about this skin tight material and how it will stretch over my big fat gut.

I thought it looked good until i actually compared it with the old one. The old one was so good. I hate those wierd collars on the new ones but I do like the white. Why do they change it every year, just keep it the same so i dont have to buy a new one.

The traditional home jersey has small changes to the shape and cut, but retains the strong blue and black presence of the past four seasons.

The alternate strip has evolved to include the ocean blue, which Emirates Western Force fans have embraced since inception.

White has been introduced as a secondary colour (as required by SANZAR) to avoid clashes, and best compliment the ocean blue.

Sponsor TSMarine will be displayed prominently on the collar of both the home and alternate jerseys.

TSMarine have been a sponsor of the Emirates Western Force for two years, and have been looking to increase their involvement with the club.

RugbyWA CEO Vern Reid said the new alternate jersey recognised the fact that Emirates Western Force members and rugby fans in WA identify the team by its ocean blue colour.

“The Sea of Blue at our home games is a sight to behold. We want to ensure that ocean blue is instantly recognised as Emirates Western Force colours,” Reid said.

“In an effort to showcase the ocean blue on an alternate strip, we feel that white provides a perfect canvas.”

Reid also welcomed TSMarine onto the collar of both jerseys.

“TSMarine have been a great supporter of rugby over the past two seasons, and we are delighted to have them on the jersey,” Reid said.

TSMarine CEO John Edwards said the company has been very pleased with its association with the club.

“We have been a proud partner of the Emirates Western Force for the past two seasons and the sponsorship has paid dividends,” Edwards said.

“We were looking for a means to increase our involvement and our brand exposure and the opportunity to elevate to Major Sponsor status was an excellent solution.”

The iconic black swan on all apparel maintains the heritage of the club. This new blue and white jersey becomes the sole alternate

I doubt I'll be buying either anytime soon. Certainly won't be getting the away strip.

Did anyone see a fan survey relating to this topic?

Gee, that away strip is butt ugly. I'm thinking my new jersey might be a 2009 model at half price rather than that. What happened to the collar? I really liked the collar. And the stripe across the chest was great too.

The yellow was so pretty - I even had number 11 on the back of mine. To match Drew! Now Drew's gone and it's 'White'. Ruined I say... Ruined.

Hey, are they doing away boardies to match the away rashie?

I'm with you Robyn. I was going to upgrade from an '06 to 2010, but I think I'll look around for a supersceded (and better looking) '09 model.

Where do rugbywa get their info from? What fans did they ask before they went ahead and dropped the gold!

    bah humbug!

Maybe they could have had blue and yellow as the away strip. As for "what the fans want", perhaps they asked the bluecrew to vote on options (after they got them drunk).
