Record sellout as Italy await All Blacks

Italy coach Nick Mallett is hoping a record 75,000 crowd for the November 14 clash with the All Blacks in Milan will spark renewed interest in rugby in this football-obsessed country.

The match against New Zealand at the San Siro is a 75,000 sell-out, the second biggest crowd for a non-football event in the stadium's history.

Not since boxer Duilio Loi fought Puerto Rico's Carlos Ortiz for the super-lightweight world title in 1960 have so many people packed out Milan's famous arena for something other than a soccer game.

We know who they're coming to watch, hopefully the Azzuri will provide a decent supporting role and the game matches the crowd.

It always amazes me how the All Blacks brand manages to push itself in to countries where rugby isn't very big. I have friends in SE Asia who know nothing about rugby except that it's people with a football hitting each other and that there's the All Blacks.

It is because it is the way they do it Nothing gets done half harted They will put their bodies on the line to try and win Even if they loose they still win the Battle and donating blood while they are at it is manditory. So you just need someone to see 5 min of an NZ game and they will know who and what the Kiwis are

All Blacks by as many as they want....

By my count while the test match is on that leaves 75,000 Italian women available in Milan that evening... mmmmmmmmm I'm there..... that would bring a little Fellini out in anybody...
