Are we going to have the 22 million people versus the 3 million people debate again?

Only if I need to point out the fact that 22 million people don't play Rugby in Australia.

If I am interpreting the data in this report correctly 148,000 people play Rugby in Australia or 0.9% of the total Population. Only 124,200 only play in Organised Rugby competitons or 0.7% (2008 figures)

    http://www.ausport.gov.au/__data/ass...eport_2008.pdf (Page 58)

Now I am still waiting on the WRU to reply to my email, but I will bet that there are more registered players in Wales then there is here in Australia

SO they would be the appropriate figures to be quoting. Participation rates not total population

    Is that scarcastic

The reason I put that stat up is to show that Rugby is not the number 1 sport in Australia, as opposed to a country where Rugby is effectively the life blood of the country (region of Great Britain )

A winning record against every nation except the two that are currently above them on the IRB ladder and the "Super team" of the B&IL, plus GB from ancient history...I'll take it
