    Krushers on top in 08

Katanning Rugby Union Club Cemented its top of the tabe position on the weekend with a convincing 52-5 win over old rivals Narrogin Broncos. These two teams last met in the 2008 Country Carnival 2nd division grand final at dunsbourough over the foundation day long weekend, where the KRushers went over for 4 trys and only missed the one conversion to take out the 2008 plate 26 points to nil.The weekends drubbing of Narrogin brings Katanning up to 3 wins with Albany on 1 win and Narrogin still on none. This weekend is the first general bye for 08 but Katanning will be running a Juniors fun day from 10am till noon with a sausage sizzle to follow. All ages are welcome to attend for "rugby familiarisation games" and age relevent drills and skills. After the funday Katannings Under 18s will be taking on the Cowpats from Dunsbourough . The Cowpats are Dunsbouroughs golden oldies side with players required to be 35 and over with some of there players being well over 60. Any interested people in this age group who may want a game are invited to do so. For more details on golden oldies Under 18 or junior rugby please contact Katanning Krushers Rugby Union Club on 08 98 211936 (Arron Warren) or 0417 996531 (Wayne Hardie)

is it that or is it Katanning are getting it together?

    a bit of both,
Narrogin has lost a lot of players this year and the guys they have are spread thin on the ground for a long way while Katanning is going along great guns with our numbers getting up there and the addition of the u18s at trainning are great motivation for that extra lap. Katannings pre season was huge with all the 10s matchs and also the country cup being held earlier really has got our fellas quite fit.

Krusher, Man, I don't know exactly how to start, but first off congrats.. Seems like you have a very grass roots outfit and are doing well, can you give a Californian any free advice?
