Not for a good while yet, girl dear. He (quite rightly) wanted to avoid exactly that for the Force and was prepared to leave over the issue, even if he was the back-up 10. There is no way he'd be in the frame at Test level.

And I disagree over the significance of the next two Tests. They are the last two matches for players to press for a berth in a Grand Slam touring squad. You may be a bit young to understand the significance of the 25yr anniversary, but this EOYT matters!

I like it, Burgs. Sharpie as Captain?

Definitely give Genia a starting place.

Yeah, I reckon Tragic. He is a good leader, a walk up start when fit and a well respected team man.
George is at best a reluctant leader and I doubt would really care either way going on past interview comments, though I am sure very proud of being selected.
The only other S14 Captain is Horwill and he isn't ready for that yet IMHO.
Media keeps speculating that Gits is the next Captain but I see nothing in him that shouts leadership material.
    Elsom is too hot headed.
None of the other positions apart from maybe Moore and Robinson are certain enough.

Just because Gits starts at 10 and Barnesey at 12 does not mean that Barnes cannot be first receiver at many of the set and phase plays. Genia will probably look for him....

Stephen Moore would be worth consideration as captain. He's been in the test team a fair while now and he gets involved a lot. He can talk to the ref pretty easily about strange scrum calls too.
