Why Lark Hill?!? Sure the grandstand is nice but I dislike the fact that the players have to travel all that way to play a finals game - will definitely come down to who has the better kickers as well as the ground is so heavily influenced by the wind factor...

Why Lark Hill in general? Why do the clubs not get to host their finals. Logisticly it wouldn't be too hard to work out, from my travels most of the clubs I have seen have two usable fields

The reason the finals are at Lark Hill and McGillivray was that the Union wanted to be one hundred percent certain before the season commenced that the finals would be played at a neutral ground.

A fair bit to do with the facilities: The number of available changerooms, the fact the Perry Lakes has been let out to pasture, MES not offered by the soccer, sorry, football, folk for anything but one day of the GF weekend because the grass would be ruined for the Glory games.

    Among other things.

...oh, and if you're heading to Lark Hill on Saturday, be aware that there is some hockey or other such sport going on at the same complex, so parking space may be at a premium.
