Would be easier for people in the Country to see games if they could get the games on TV.

If you tell people your a rugby fan then you shoud be going to local REAL rugby games.

The Force is not the be all and end all of rugby in WA.

I urge you all to get into grass roots rugby in WA. Go and get a beer, a burger and stand on the sidelines. Especially for the first grade boys at least.

I was running around quite a bit doing club stuff on Friday night, so didn't have the time (more like didn't think of it), to do a rough count of spectators present at the Cott Pally game,

I can say however that the stand was full, the concourse was standing room only, and that the all the grassed area surrounding the ground was packed.

In 40 years experience, I can't remember a bigger crowd at a Pally home game.

    Rough estimate 1200 +

Jargs, Ecky, you were there. What's your estimate?

These night games on a Friday are a real answer to increasing cost pressures and falls in revenue. They are the way to go in the future.

On a sad note, I express my, and certainly my Club's condolences to the Cottesloe Rugby Club and to the family and friends of the player who collapsed and passed away shortly after our fourth grade game yesterday.

We share your sadness and grief.

1400 + That's impressive. Do many of the club games pull similar numbers.

Well I have been to 2 games already this year and plan to go to a few more

Swee and myself commeted on the crowd down at Palmyra on Friday night becasue we thought is was pretty big, at least 1000 people were down there, you wouldn't be far off with that estimate of 1,400

I wasn't sure which was the Friday night games would go, but figured it would either go quite well or a bit of a disaster. Was good to see it was the former, definately a good crowd in at Pally on Friday.
My crowd-estimating skills are abysmal, so I'll leave the numbers to the other two.

That's terrible news Fulvio. Condolances to the extended Cott family.

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

Thats terrible news. Condolences to everyone who knew him.
Premier grade rugby has seen a few losses this season, hopefully this is the last one for a long while.
