Junior rugby carnival south west

Any interest out there for organising a junior rugby carnival on a Sat in June or July?

South west, Great southern, and metro teams and anybody else for that matter?

Round robin or knock out comp in each age group depending on numbers of teams.

Any takers? Any interest?

Rugby WA has no interest or clue on developing the game in WA so lets bloody do it ourselves.

You will struggle to get this of the ground during the junior season There is 2 weekends (11th & 18th July) that they are not playing but it is school holidays so thenyou won't get teams together either

Round 1 : 2nd May
General Bye : 30th May
School Holiday Bye : 11th & 18th July
Final Round : 29th August
Preliminary Finals : 5th September
Grand Finals : 12th September

If it can't be organised this year, there is always next year. One must assess enthusiasm for the event.
Albany, Denmark, Busso, Dunsborough and Bunbury might be able to have a weekend round robin. We don't necessarily need to play metro teams. I have contacted Albany and there is an inkling of interest.

If you do end up getting some thing like this going i know a lot of people that would be interested. So if you wanted more players just ask the Denmark High School to put something in the school notices or just put some advertising up around the town

The Bunbury Bulls juniors are very interested in an annual match against Albany and Denmark. Do you have connections with these clubs? I have sent out some feelers with moderate interest

At the moment i dont have any connection with the club and i dont even know if there is one this year but i do have the number from last year. it is 98482524, just call them and ask them about it and also tell them it would be good if they also put more advertising around.
