    Force 2010

Whats the line up looking like?

    1- Cowan?
    2- Holmes?
    3- Hardy
    4- Hockings?
    5- Sharpe
    6- Hodgson
    7- Pocock
    8- Brown

    9- Valentine
    10- Daruda
    11- Cummins
    12- O'Connor
    13- Cross
    14- Haylett-Petty
    15- Shepherd

    16- Whittaker?
    17- Whalley?
    18- Pusey?
    19- Wykes?
    20- O'Young?
    21- Tatupu?
    22- Sare?

Not sure if all these players are still on contract for next year??

Biggest concern there is the depth

Some players off contract at the end of the season worth a look at would be; Sekope Kepu (prop), Ben Daley* (prop), Jeremy Tilse (prop), John Ulugia (hooker/prop), Dean Mumm (backrow/2ndrow), Seilala Lam* (no.8/openside), Kurtley Beale (5/8/fullback), Leo Afeaki (inside/outside/wing), Daniel Halangahu (5/8/fullback), Afusipa Taumoepeau (outside/wing), Peter Betham* (fullback/wing)

Most are young fringe players who the force should be able to secure at not to much of an expense. A couple of these would really stock up at key positions along with team depth.

Question marks should be on O'Connor, Brown, Valentine as well.

What about Justin Turner, Troy Takiari & Kieran Longbottom?
We need to utilise Longbottom more, he's our home grown talent and we've not shown him a whole lot of anything, not even bench-warming let alone actually getting some game time.

The Force will end up dropping one of Hardy and Cowan. I think they'd prefer to keep Cowan but if he was to leave. So Kieran can expect a fair bit of game time in the coming years- he is still young and props only hit their straps in their late twenties. I reckon he'll see frequent time off the bench next year.

Hockings, Wykes and Stanford are all signed on until 2011.

    Pusey is going.

O'Young is signed until 2010 (came last year on a three year contract). Tatapu signed a 2 year deal last year (I think). Whalley is on a two year/one year option deal. I figure if the Force pull a tighthead from elsewhere we will only keep on of AJ or Takiari (probably AJ as Takiari is getting on).

Sare, Whittaker and Holmes I have no idea about.

The key to this side moving forward is keeping Pocock and Wykes AT ALL COSTS!

These players attract players to your side.

JOC would be vital, but his moving to the ACT means do we go after Gene Fairbanks, Chris Leo or Matt Toomua ( the last 2 have their contact run out a the end of next season)

TPN would be a great signing and fit in well with the team and who knows if Diggas wants to really return?

    Digby won't return.

Despite all the talk of player exodus. All we really need is 1) a hooker 2) a tighthead 3) a flyhalf 4) an inside centre- if JO'C goes 5) a winger

And thats practically the same list as was being looked at a year or two ago.
There are a few options out there too. At hooker John Ulugia and TPN are possibilities. Tim Fairbrother and though I am loathe to admit it Matt Dunning could work as tightheads. Halangahu or perhaps Peter Grant at fly-half. While Taumoepeau, Afeaki and Betham are all options on the wing.

And we'd still have a fairly solid squad.

I hope Josh stays if he stays JOC may stay but I heard from a few Force boys (unofficially) down at Rugby that they expect him to go to the Brumbies at number 15 as this where Deans wants him. Browny going to stay

i liked the look of Whittaker when he came on he tried his hardest to make an impact and do everything correctly. He reminded me a bit of Cowan when he first started coming off the bench and look how good Cowan is now!

Where do you come up with this stuff? I can believe O'Connor might go but why would Brownie? Isn't Pusey leaving and why is Hardy going to be dropped? What is it that makes you say these things, rumour/idle gossip/newspapers/facts?

Homer, he must be available as reports have us chasing him if Polota-Nau doesn't want to sign.
