Botha cops three games for striking

Bulls forward Bakkies Botha has been suspended for three games for striking New South Wales captain Phil Waugh in Saturday's Super 14 rugby union game in Sydney.

Botha appeared before judicial officer Dennis Wheelahan in Sydney on Monday, along with members of the Bulls' team management and legal representatives.

Evidence tendered at the hearing included video footage supplied by the match broadcasters.

Botha will miss games against the Brumbies and the Western Force.
