Argentina end Australia's hopes in International Sevens with narrow win

Argentina end Australia's hopes in International Sevens with narrow win

April 05, 2009 Australia were beaten 12-5 by Argentina in the quarter-finals of the International Rugby Sevens tournament in Adelaide.

The South Americans scored two first-half tries and hung on to win against a home side that was unable to gain much useful possession until late in the piece.

Australia will now play for the minor placings while Argentina go on to play either Kenya or Wales in the semi-final.

Great job Kenya! Australia have plenty of talent in 7s, there is a pretty level field hovering around the # 5 through 10 spots in the rankings..

Kenya was looking fantastic. And what a lovely team it seems, when the number 8 (?) ran over for a try against a team I forgot the name of, the guy who has only scored one try (think it was number 6) was following behind and 8 ran over the line and saw his friend and passed him the ball so that he could score the try. What a lovely lovely thing. I hope Kenya wins. They convinced me after that moment that they deserve it (now that Australia isn't in it )

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

Well good for USA. It's possible, was some assembly required, what exactly does Ikea mean in Swedish? or Danish? (I'm bad with Nordic languages..)

Has been a nice day here in Perth, I was out cruising the Swan River on the boat from 8am untill about 3ish

South Africa just won the Cup. During the First half they had a shot for goal from a penalty, that struck me as very un-sevens like
