Not sure Jargs, but you would think not, probably part of the attraction, meanwhile definately locking him in for the (is it three years) citizenship period.
If three, that ties up the marquee signing for that period and see him at about 27, raring to go for another 3-6 years for his new home team.

You had a fantastic first five with Brock James guys, i can't understand why he didn't succeed in Australia. Now he's one of the best 10 in Europe with Ronan O'Gara and Stephen Jones and for me he's far better than Beale, Cooper or Barnes.

There's only 4.5 Million reasons why Brock didn't stay in WA.......actually it's less now that firepower's gone broke!

I don't think they have tried too hard. It smacks of panic
Remember what happened the last time they went shopping for the best 10 they could find, Chis?

They want the most capable 10 available at a reasonable price to bring Rabbit along. This bloke fits the bill and at 25 might just be a long term Forceman.

If Peter Grant wants to move to Perth, then that alone is a fantastic reason to sign him. The guy is contemplating spending the rest of his life in Perth. He's obviously extremely talented as well, but that kind of passion and commitment to a place (and hopefully its team) goes a long way, even in professional sport.

The bloke playing half for QLD is a great 10. QLD can't decide who they want at 9. Lets talk.

Kurtley Beale is looking. He would like an environment with less scrutiny

JOC could play 10 but he's too much of a gimp. He wants to be spoon fed. Anybody with massive nuts would take the opportunity. We could then shop for a world class tighthead which we need more than another drip who wants to kick everything

I'm all for plundering the Bok youth program and getting them naturalised early

i doubt Grant would move to Perth if he doesnt get a contract with the Force, on top of that i find it ironic that you mention his 'passion and commitment to a place', the fact that he is moving from his home country would indicate to me that he definetly doesnt have those qualities to start with.

    Why?
He is probably very passionate about his home country.
The political and safety situation makes a normal life difficult. I don't blame anybody wanting to leave a country which could slide into anarchy and chaos

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

    So?
I'd encourage recruiting from RSA. The quality is better than the ACT or NSW
If they qualify for the wallabies, we all benefit
