Anyone catch Big Dell on NRL on Fox last night? Pretty capable TV performer. Got a feeling we might see a bit more of him there when the boots are finally hung up.

They caught him out a ripper with a leading statement, though. Mentioned he had a record coming up in the next couple of weeks. Dell chuffs up with a smile wide as The Sydney Heads - "Yeah 200 games" Garry Freeman replies "Nah, Dell. We meant the longest time in the history of the game taken to reach 200 matches - 17 seasons"

I just had to check that, Burgs. Cause he seemed, to me at least, to be around for ever and played for just about every club in the NSWRL. According to Wikipedia he clocked up 212 for Balmain, Easts, Parra & Penrith. PLus another 16 for Castleford and 46 Tests for the Kiwis.

Cheeky bugger ran a film clip of him scoring a solo 70m chip'n'chase try under the posts just to give Dell a touch-up after Friday nights botch job too.

The 17 for Castleford are arguable in the tally, depending if you are talking first grade or NRL standard and above I guess, then you would have to account for Dels Union appearances too.
Either way Del has another 17 matches left in him I'd reckon

I was disappointed when it initially tallied to over 200 and I couldn't make my point haha.
Some impressive careers there as most were pretty hard men too.
Must be mixed feelings for Lamb with the record but forever one short
From what I saw the other day Beaver is still going strong in the EP too, they were mid bagging him for being too old-too slow and he set up a great try, had to laugh.
An unanswerable hypothetical as to if Del would still be playing if he hadn't changed.

I respect and admire all elite athletes, just don't especially enjoy League as a sport that much.
Bit like I enjoy watching the soccer highlights of goals of the week but don't like soccer...
