Haven't seen the full match yet, but Biarritz played Karmicheal Hunt at 10 in a HC semi on the weekend so he must be adapting alright. Commentators were claiming he is being tempted to stay. Maybe he has a get-out clause in his Gold Coast contract? You'd expect so.

Prediction: He's only 24, after seeing what Rugby can offer he's realised his folly, will dump his AFL contract and stay in Europe another season or 2. He'll then join the Blues in an effort to do a Brad Thorne in RWC 2015 as a 30yo AB fly-half.

I read that his kicking game was a big plus for the home team apart from some early mistakes.

If I was the CEO of Gold Coast I would have pressed for it, they get the PR of signing him without having to worry about whether he's actually worh a brass razoo.

It works for Karmichael too, he gets to try rugby with no pressure and if he sucks, he gets a quick go at AFL.....either way he's up for more money than his NRL contract would be worth.
