TEAM OF THE WEEK

The Australian Women's Rugby Sevens Team. Won the inaugural Women's Rugby Sevens World Cup, in Dubai, beating the Kiwis 15-10 in the final. Rah! (And given that the Federal Government recently put $16m into women's soccer, perhaps they might do the same with women's rugby?)

Phillip Hughes. Youngest player in cricket history to hit a century in each innings - and in just his second Test, after scoring a wretched duck in his first time at bat for Australia!

Mitchell Johnson. Is starting to look like a 21st century Jeff Thomson. Nine overs. Three wickets. Just 15 runs conceded. Two batsmen sent to hospital.

David Gallop. Did what needed to be done by suspending Brett Stewart.

The Manly board. The names of those board members who voted for Stewart to play after he was charged with sexual assault should be taken and entered in rugby league's Hall Of Great Idiocy.

Bernard Tomic. Was suspended by the International Tennis Federation for behaving like a dickhead in Perth in December. The actual charge was "major offences of aggravated behaviour." Can someone get to this kid before it's too late?

Queensland and Victoria. Are contesting the Sheffield Shield final. Queensland will win.

Chris Guccione. Won the decisive fifth rubber in Davis Cup tie against Thailand.

Don Sarkies. 75 this week, the Northern Beaches man is still keeping goals for the Breakers in the Sydney Metropolitan water polo comp.

The Australian baseball team. Shocked hosts Mexico on Monday with a 17-7 win in the World Baseball Classic - baseball's attempt to make the "World Series" just that.

Naomi Flood. The Manly Life Saving Club member won seven gold medals at the state titles
