    busy airports

    Was talking to soemone on tour about the busiest airport in australia (air craft movements) and just confirmed that I was right in thinking Jandakot won !

    This is a list of the busiest airports in Australia by aircraft movements compiled by Airservices Australia

    What's the smoting about?

    I used to live near Jandakot and in an hour there was about 20 planes flying in or out of there. There is one ambulance on stand by and one is always at the airport, because RFDS flies in and out of there.

    Plus there is RACWA and the Chinese flying school as well. Having done flight training there it is a nightmare.

    There's a lot of flight training there. Do they count the repeated landings/take-offs students do as separate flight movements?

    In my line of work a landing is one movement and a take off is another, so I am guessing that might be what builds the numbers up? Bankstown and Moorabbin are also flight school airports, aren't they?
