Francis Fainifo has recovered from this head clash and will start on Saturday night.

The CA Brumbies have maintained an unchanged squad for the third successive week for their Investec Super 14 Week Three fixture against the Western Force at Canberra Stadium on Saturday, 28 February.

CA Brumbies scrumhalf Patrick Phibbs (cork), Clyde Rathbone (ankle), Francis Fainifo (head knock) and Stephen Hoiles (ankle) have been passed fit to play and will take the field for the competition’s first Australian derby in 2009.

It is the first time since Week Eight of the 2000 Super 12 that the CA Brumbies have maintained the same starting XV for three consecutive matches. It is the first time in the ACT province’s history they have selected an identical 22 for three consecutive games.

CA Brumbies Head Coach Andy Friend says he’s pleased to be able to run with an identical line-up through the first three rounds.

“It’s nice to be able to pick the same team for three weeks running,” he said. “These guys have got the job done for the first two games, they’re building combinations and building some momentum which is very important.

“We’re growing into our season but it’s attitude and character that gets you through these early stages and the guys have shown plenty of that. The side is improving across the board but we still have plenty of improvement left in us.”

The CA Brumbies sit third on the Investec Super 14 table having scored nine competition points in their first two rounds.

Good to hear Fainifo is better - he is off contract next year and sounds like he'll need a gig. We may even pocket some change, which would be sweet!

Western Force will win this one There are to many players that have to proof their loyalty and commitment to the Club this weekend. They will all be going at 110% so I would have been worried if I was a Brumbies man

I hope the CA Brumbies don't change their team for a while. Will help wear them down later on.

Mudskipper suffers from delusions of adequacy

    and delusions of popularity

    and delusions of hygenity

(this is fun....I'm finding it hard to stop)

    delusions of mediocrity?

    Pfft, Brumbies smell!

Force by 79 (thats what I said on my Investec tipping thing, I got bored of scrolling so I stopped there.)

Giteau WILL be out to prove something tonight. He'll wipe the entire CITY with Lelilalaanifannoooo (I don't know his name.). Drew will also have a blinder, scoring 2 tries just so that Canberra hates him and so he HAS to stay in Perth! And then making he'll make a try saving tackle on AAC to once again show Knuckles how very wrong he was about OUR Drew. Pocock will show Smith who is who and Hockings is back! Chilsom doesn't stand a chance against our boys. JOC will come on and just for Muddy run round Mortlock and score a try... our bonus point try. Then the news commentator will come on and say Drew re-signed with the force til 2011

    You heard it here first

I'd say we should be careful. But we are playing as the underdogs, and we play far better when we are like that, out there to prove them wrong. Giteau WILL be on fire tonight. That's for sure. The rest is just what I think should happen

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
