yes, some good points here. But Ive read that the new third party deal was being offered by ET Mining.

ET Mining had a JV deal with Firepower and now employs O'Meara.

Perhaps Giteau was concerned in dealing with these guys again. Not suggesting he had anything to worry about but would you trust them?

A fair point Bondi - but, this was the only company that stepped up to offer Matt Gitteau what was effectively money for nothing - now the only other people that would do that is Dire Straits (bahdoom, tish)

Thank you very much, I am here all week - don't forget to tip your waitress.

He was mislead in coming to Perth and was probably concerned he may be mislead again. Cant blame the guy for that.

Matt has probably also bought homes based on his 'promised' Firepower income and now has debts etc ( I assume).

So, how would you feel if you bought a home and then one of your employers shot through leaving you with the mortgage to repay?

Firepower has a lot to answer for .
    Bondi

please don't bring assumption to an argument - as we all know assumption is the mother of all stuffups.

Matt has quite clearly stated that he will be keeping his home in Perth - of course any good real estate agent (Hi The_InnFORCEr) would tell you not to sell a property in this economic climate. He is waiting for the market to improve.

Ding ding ding. Has it occured to you or Muddy that perhaps O'Meara and Graham feel bad for the Firepower collapse and the effect it has had on all involved? Kill two birds with one stone- get back a bit of what was intended to Giteau and keep a top player at the club.

Ex, good call and point taken.

I dont like to see people scammed. I dont think anyone does. Integrity in business is important.

And I'll remember to tip the waitress tomorrow morning. I think she deserves it.

    Cheers

    Hi James

yep, you may be right and that a fair call.

I'm also suspicious that they may have something to hide. O'Meara is a good mate of Johnston remember. Its been all over the news for years.

No, Muddy. Its the tooth fairy.

Leave that glass of water out with tooth floating and Tim Johnston will promise to fill that glass with lots of Firepower pills - all worth millions.

O'Meara was also a good mate of a previous board secretary that disgraced himself - I don't think they are good friends any more.

Yes, considering what Johnson has put O'Meara through I doubt they have too many kind words to share between them. But then again I could be wrong.

caucau, while brilliant is one of the most troubled players in world rugby, it would be stupid to waste money on him!

After hearing a Brumbie Player at the weekend state that now Gitz is returning to ACT "they (the brumbies) will look after him" during the game this w/e...I wonder are they going to give him a free run to the line rather tackle him..?
