No I think the run on side was pretty close to being perfect for the first 50 at least. I'm confident if they play like that against the Blues for 80 minutes they'll come away with a win.

The team should change a bit for next week, Ryan Cross, Ben Castle(bench?) and Josh Valentine should start the game. Where is Staniforth as he is always reliable?

Ohh yeah forgot about that- JV and RC on and BC on the bench is good. Staniforth I think is still on the road back from recovery. Hopefully he will be fit and fighting in a few weeks and will come in from the bench.

Blues had another interesting trial making a late come back to win 43-35 over the Highlanders in North Harbour. That's the 4th trial they've played so most of them will be pretty fit- Mitch's gotta make sure we don't get sunk by a second half comeback this week.

I know people say trial form is unimportant but the Blues have been far from impressive in all of their practise matches only narrowly winning two and both of those were at home. It's gonna be a big plus with Williams and Kaino (likely) out of their pack. Jay Williams is also out. If we really get some luck Moa and Rokocoko will be out too.

    Getting excited.
