    And a cast of thousands!

Cheerleaders, dancing girls, Rugby WA Administrators (you know, like at the Show, you drop ping pong balls in their mouths), pony rides, Ferris Wheels (borrowed from the Perth Foreshore), Fairy Floss; in short, the lot.

You see, we've secured Tim Johnson as a sponsor, so we can live our dreams.

    Bit like Nedlands last season.

Well, we got over 25 players at our first training session for the season ,which is a start. Apparently it takes more than fairy floss and ferris wheels to make a big impression these days.

Anyway we still have a couple of new highly rated recruits to arrive from Georgia (brothers), and can expect an influx of last seasons players when the touch season is over.

Not bad for this time of the year, although it would be nice to have a couple of back row players turn up.

How are the other clubs travelling?

    Sorry, don't speak Georgian.

Anyway, they sound like a couple of characters. On re-reading their rugby CV they're not actually brothers, but cousins. One of them made the Junior Georgians, (similar to Australia A) and the other represented the Gori Governature in the provincial competition over there.

They both played for the Gori Rugby club.

I wouldn't like to be the club registrar or team manager writing their names on a teamsheet though! One is called Losif Besarionis dze Jughashvili and his cousin is Loseb Vissarionovich Nilats.
Try and get your mind around those names each week!
