Typical "oval" Athletics track consisting of two semicircles joined by straight segments.

    Opposed to a cricket oval....

    Think about it Einstein...

Well I'm not Einstein but I think you have just argued my point. See one of my earlier posts, possibly read the oval definition again. It doesnt matter what kind of oval it is, an oval is an oval.

Cricket OVAL, Athletics OVAL, AFL OVAL

I never said every oval is the same, but an oval is an oval

Thanks for playing Mudcrab, unfortunately you don't qualify for any prizes, apart from another stint at your local Kindergarten. You can be in the same class as your kids

no the stadium was built as part of their bid for the 4th franchise. But instead of scrapping the plan when they didn't get it they proceeded with it anyway for Melbourne Storm and Melbourne Victory. It only holds 30,000 people

unlikely, the Force play in front of 25,000 instead of the 13,000 that the Brumbies play in front of. No chance of the Force moving, WA is still driving the Aussie economy is keeping the country out recession.

Maybe if Canberra Stadium wasn't a converted oval they would get more people to the game, or maybe if it wasn't in a poor location and a pain in the ass to get to (so i have heard from a few people I know who used to live there)

so that would match this would it not?

which is still defined as an oval

and your definition Canberra Stadium with straight sides and curved ends would match this

which would just happen to be "WIN Jubilee Stadium" aka "Win Jubilee Oval"

    or similar to:

pre-olympics, and of course AFL games are still held there, despite the sides of the ground being straight it is still an oval

at least you finally admit to the fact that it used to be an oval

Obviously it was never as big as ANZ Stadium, not enough Brumbies supporters in Canberra, i don't even think there would be enough people in Canberra (total population) to fill it
