it was configured as a rectangle once for a Melbourne Victory game...possibly a semi final, it was referred to in the Langoulant report. I believe it was never reconfigured again as a result of AFL concern about pitch stability issues (not sure If I'm talking out my journalist-hole for that one though)

Langolant report is full of shit, I watch most of the A-League finals and I have never seen it as a rectangle, even for the Final when the Victory sold out Telstra Dome
