"The petition should now become part of the decision-making process and we hope it would lend considerable weight for a dedicated rectangular stadium" (GIGS) said.
"It's the only document that has shown public support for this option, rather than sharing (facilities) with AFL".


"A snap decision would lock us in for an extended period of time, as it's possibly the last opportunity for a stadium to be looked at for 20 to 25 years" (GIGS) said.
An avid rugby fan, Mr Gigs said that without a dedicated venue or an upgrade to MES, other sporting codes would ultimately struggle.
