THE Bledisloe Cup match in Hong Kong will effectively be a home game for New Zealand if the traditional antipathy towards the Australian team spills into the Test arena.

Hong Kong is supposed to be neutral territory for the Wallabies and All Blacks.

But the crowd in Hong Kong routinely boos and jeers the Australian sevens team in the annual tournament in the former British colony, dating back to an incident of foul play in 1979.

It has become a tradition at the Hong Kong sevens for the crowd, which includes a large number of English expatriates, to barrack against the Wallabies.
