The Paddington Ale House 141 Club

EDIT (12-12-12): There is talk of doing this again in early 2013 - skip to this post to read more

    Lads and lasses,

A few of us have noticed that at the Paddington Ale House they have an honour board. I feel saddened by the fact that TWF is not on this noble list.

For those of you who don't know some of your TWF brothers and sisters are going to attempt to drink 141 beers in a few hours to earn our place on this list.

The cost for this event with 22 participants is $50 each. This includes some finger foods as well.

Due to the lack of numbers at the moment we are opening this challenge up to friends and family as well.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 26TH AT 1330 WST

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

I reckon you'd be fine with that team (18 at time of posting), no need to scout for fillers - they'd only have to sit in the corner sipping a juice...

Badger, maybe you should put that the 141 beers are different, and it's not just a guinessfest for a couple of hours.

From my memory of the paddo, there are a few beers on that list that you require a lead apron to avoid any harm from radiation whilst consuming (West End Draught, Southwark immediately spring to mind).

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Maybe you haven't been in SA long enough to learn the ropes fully yet Ox. They actually made a beer that was worse than those two. Dunno if it's still on the market but Eagle Blue was so bad that I actually could not drink it when there was nothing else on offer, and that means it was REALLY, REALLY bad.

Hard to believe that those beers are from the same city that provides the fantastic Cooper's.
