I'm a Bulldogs fan since I was in nappies, 5 decades ago. Terry Lamb is my all-time favorite player and I didn't know that stuff.

I promise not to point this out again (well not today anyway) but - YOU ARE A DEAD SET RUGBY LEAGUE TRAGIC WRF

I was given a rugby ball on the delivery table in South Wales by a mad Welsh rugby fanatic, my Dad.

When we came out to Oz in 1980 there wasn't alot of Union on the tele, one thing they did show was a bit of league. Beggars can't be choosers so I used to watch it, even with Dad calling me a poof in the background.

A good memory for trivial matters of shit and watching every State of Origin series since the onset and every episode of the NRL footy show has helped me keep on top of the comings and goings of League.

BUT, if there's a grand final of League on one channel and an under 10's union match on the other channel it's UNION for sure. UNION blood runs deep.

That's pretty likely . But I get your point. When there's an NRL match and a S14, the Rugby match wins out every time except if The Dogs are on. A couple of times I've had to choose between The Dogs & The Force. The Force wins out easily and the remote gets a vigorous workout.

Just got over the line, eh?

A Manly supporter from Campbelltown? Pretty rare, I'd imagine.

Well, I just got Setanta, so I pretty much camped out in fronna the T.V.; watching BOTH the Super League and NRL Grand Finals, just because I am now capable, so here's two pretty pointless observations: Leeds Whinos defense against St. Helens was pretty suffocating(it reminds me of touch rugby, when ya have lots of speedy guys who come up to pressure, arriving just as the dummy half's pass arrives) and the NRL pregame brought to fore the greatest display of bar-b-que grills used as percussion instruments I've ever seen.. besides the chicks were pretty hot too! I was puzzled by the band, though, they looked punk-a-billy, yet were rock.. it's not that they were bad, it's just, well confusing to me... which isn't really difficult, now that I think about it! I do know though, that Manly pretty much stomped that Melbourne a##.. again an impartial, pretty pointless observation.

I'm guessing you mean the 2nd band, The Living End. I'm a bit too ancient to know much about them except to say the lead singer has not had a lot of practice at lip sync and I thought the music was pretty crap. He said they are a Melbourne band so I suppose their day just got worse from then. Sweeeet!

Least the trophy's back in the Harbour city, even if it is up on the insular peninsula.

TIF- what's with the Manly love??- I though they could legally lynch you out Campbelltown way for that. I'd kinda understand if it was cos Wests dissapeared a bit in their merger, but given what happened to the 'Northern' half of the Northern Eagles merger, I figure that's not it.

Yeah the "Living End" --- Mouth and expressions a 1/2 second behind the music... first gig lip synching with monitors in a big, wide open space? I'm alright with that, but, if yer gonna declare yerselves from Victoria, at least cause more of a stir.. that guy was only marginally sarcastic!!! Kids these days, they got nothing on Johnny Rotten, Joe Strummer, Ian MacCullogh, or Jello Biafra- now those boys could raise a ruckus!!!! Oh I am old ain't I?

Could be a bit late, but I'm a Manly fan, much to Dad's dismay.

He goes for whoever is playing Manly, then moved to Avalon when I was 8 so who did he think I'd grow up and support?

    Go Manly, Go Beaver!
