Sucks to that. I've got a 800 page book to read on the Roman Empire and another 800 page book about the Nazi's, I don't have time for rugby books!

I wish I didn't wear heels that day!

When I got there and was chatting to Laura a guy walked up and asked if we wouldn't mind posing for a photo with George for the West Australian. Was very hard to say no! So he went off and got him and I was a bit... well and truly... starstruck. And we're the same height when I'm barefoot and I had worn heels to go with the dress i was wearing and I was a fair bit taller than him.

I blurted out some lame joke of an apology and said I never would have worn heels if I knew I was going to be photographed with him and he just laughed and said 'Ladies, don't even worry about it. Trust me, I'm used to it by now'.

He was such a good sport and so fantastic to listen to! I could have sat there and enjoyed his stories all day. Really great event!

Haven't started the book yet because I've been swamped with uni assignments all due before the study week but OMC is reading it and seems to be enjoying it so far.

George said he wanted to focus more on the people he's met through rugby rather than just talking about the rugby itself. Sounds like a good approach to me.

I met my childhood hero... I'm chuffed.

That is the most strategically manipulated camera angle or some seriously good photoshopping because there is absolutely no way George was taller than me or that Laura is that much taller than all of us...

But it's a great snap. He looks so happy.

Going to go get a copy of todays paper and then I'll grab the original photo when they put it on the west website.

Must be why he told you not to worry... he has his minions scattered through all the papers around the country to make sure the photo ends up alright. If only he had one of those people when he used to stand next to Nobody.

Then why did the minion make me look like I had a temporary growth spurt?

I'm only here to come up with the crackpot theories, not justify them

“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
