    SW and GS this week

Last saturday saw a full round of fixtures with some intriguing results as we head to the finals. Dunsborough travelled the short trip to traditional rivals the Gropers. The Dungers only had 10 players and Margs sportingly lent them 2 players and played 12 a side, but as at Collie a couple of weeks ago, the visitors ran out the winners, Margs 7 -Duns 27!! In the South- West capital Bunbury City Bulls played Collie and both teams had full squads with a bench! So evenly matched are the teams that they ground out a draw. In the Great Southern it was the turn of Albany to play Katanning- at the Krushers home ground. The seniors game was preceeded by a fantastic game of ten a side junior rugby between the Krushers and the Denmark Brothers with Katanning running out winners by one try. The senior game was tight with a very committed Katanning side four points adrift at full time, this means Albany go into the final with Katanning to play Narrogin for the other slot. Sunday saw the Albany juniors training at the Royals ground with 16 junior players while in Busselton the Jets had 22 players training. Monday in Denmark the junior school were put through thier paces in preparation for a junior side starting down there. This week was down as a cross-over week, but most clubs are grateful for the time off to prepare for the finals that are looming. All in all a great weekend of rugby in the country!!

Collie only scored in the last minutes after we had two yellow cards handed to us.... bloody ex-league players gotta learn how to tackle with arms!!!

    Great wrap up Dave.
