Played hooker for the Army during recruit training at Kapooka.Fresh off the plane from Perth. This sadomastic Waratah supporter said: okay you fat bastard your our no 2.Wtf i dont wont to go to the toilet!.Any way we play the Wagga Wagga Agricultural College(long haired bogans circa 1976).Pack down first scrum then this dirty low life Ag prop lifts his knee and pings out out my front tooth.Collapse scrum, punch the bejesus out of him and promptly red carded.Won the game though, and spent a fortune on crowns ever since.

    actually a little known story....

When The Lone Hydrangea and Frontrower were BOTH at Army training camp Kapooka and playing Rugby.....

In those days the defence budget was being slashed so our boys in khaki did not have much money for much at all, except for the Seargents Mess to supply piss for opposition teams after the game....

Well the Army had to do something during the week between Rugby games....so they had some war games.....

well The Lone Hydrangea was assigned to the red army and Frontrower the blue army....

So out they went on the exercise and then they were told that budgetry constraints prevented them from using even just dummy guns and ammo...they had to improvise ....

The Lone Hydrangea was issued with a broomstick and told...due to budgetry constraints........just point that at the blue army guys and yell "BANG"...under the rules of the war games they will just fall down....

The Lone Hydrangea was also given 6 rocks...and told....these are your grenades.....due to budgetry constraints....you just have to throw them at the blue army and yell "BOOM"....and they will just fall down....

The Lone Hydrangea was also given a very very sharp twig...and told...this is your bayonet....due to budgetry constraints...if you get cornered and the blue army are overrunning you....just poke this sharp twig at them...and yell.."STAB STAB STAB"....and they will just fall down....

So the Lone Hydrangea starts wandering through the exercise area looking for the blue army.....

He comes across a group of blue army guys and with his broomstick jumps up out of his cover and points the broom at the blue army guys and yells.....BANG...BANG....BANG....BANG.........the 4 guys just fall over and play dead..........

wow....says The Lone Hydrangea......this is good......so off he wanders off in search of further targets.......until........

he comes across a clearing ...and there is 20 blue army guys....so he jumps out....and tosses 3 rocks at them and yells...BOOM BOOM BOOM....most of the guys fall down but then The Lone Hydrangae jumps into the clearing and finishes the rest off with his trusty very very sharp twig by yelling...STAB STAB STAB.....

feeling very satisified he wanders along a path.......until......

At about 400 meters (about the distance that Greg Holmes ran to his try) The Lone Hydrangea see's Frontrower pounding down the track at full pace.....straight towards The Lone Hydrangea........

Now confident of his trusty broomstick....due to budgetry constraints......The Lone Hydrangea lifts his broomstick ....points it at Frontrower....who is now only 300m away due to his dazzling speed...and yells.....BANG...BANG....BANG.

But Frontrower still is hurtling towards The Lone Hydrangea......

    10 seconds later.....as Frontrower is 200m away....The Lone Hydrangea...grabs his rocks.....due to budgetry constraints...and throws 3 of them at Frontrower.....and yells.....BOOM ......BOOM.....BOOM.......

Still Frontrower roars on towards The Lone Hydrangea.....who is starting to get a little worried......so in the next 10 seconds as Frontrower closes the next 100m....The Lone Hydrangea grabs his trusted and tried...very very sharp twig.......due to budgetry constraints.....and awaits Frontrower....

as Frontrower nears....he thrusts his very very sharp twig...due to budgetry constraints......at Frontrower...........

But Frontrower bores right over the top of The Lone Hydrangea....sending him into a twisted mass on the track....

As Frontrower dissappears down the track........The Lone Hydrangea yells.....What the F&%$

To which......Frontrower yells.....TANK a de TANK TANK TANK....
