this was raised after that game in 2003 at Brisbane, the one where Brendan Cannon was eye gouged and bitten. Unfortunately it is weeks, it should be matches though. This dirty saffer can consider himself fortunate due to the way the fixtures came out

Yeah, it was a weak as piss move by SANZAR to seem harsh to the general public but in fact with the two weeks meaning nothing in the ban it keeps the whinging Saffas from raising a furore..

Yep, you're right. Having another look thanks to youtube, it's worse than I thought. The statement from the Judicial Officer was pretty lenient, as was the penalty. I initially thought that was 3 matches, not three weeks.
