Chat Report 09/07/08

As seems to be the case with the chat reports recently the task of writing the chat report has been assigned to a first timer. Also I should add that this was possibly only my 3rd or 4th chat and also I’m only starting to get to know certain people so a lot of time I have no idea what you guys are talking about. IE someone asked if Jargan had bought shoes and this led to him carrying shoes for someone named Rhonda and he wants overtime for this. As I have no idea what Jargan does for a living I had no idea what was going on. So that said, stick with me on this.

Chat starts 6.36pm

Night got off to a slow start. For some reason the javachat from the main page was not working. Some managed to get in, but most were not. After a bit of discussion in “the other chat” and some much needed help from blueandblack in the shoutbox we were able to get in.

Beaver stuck around just long enough to give power to B&B. According to Ex, Beaver had to MC his mums netball chat, so was not heard from again. B&B pours a drink for Ex and they have a bit of a chat as still no one else is in yet. Ex wants B&B to teach Jono about IRC.

We all start to roll in now and the chat gets going but not before force_addict ended up in some other chat room. More drinks. Innocent quokka shows up and declares that he wants to be Spanish quoka tonight, but the system would not accept el quokka innocente, so he is just El.

B&B is watching a double feature in drive in style. Apparently it only puts the sound out one speaker and other random noises out the rest (I’ll take his word on it).

Candy shows up and talk of cows starts up (this is where I get lost, some sort of inside joke I guess). B&B wants to know what the deal is with drive-in movies playing the US national anthem. FA points out that in Thailand before every movie you have to stand up and watch a movie about the King.

CGI123 and CGI128 come in. We never find out who CGI123 is, but CGI128 turns out to be Lmaag. More talk of drive-in movies. B&B posts a you tube clip. According to Lmaag the Busso Jets under 8’s have the curtain raiser for the Wallaby match next week. They are on about 5pm and if you are going to the Wallaby game you should go to the under 8’s, no excuse. Coach shows up.

Coach is fixing chat and making cookies at the same time. Discussion on should it be cookies or biscuits. Since it is chocolate chip it is decided that cookie will do. Coach declares he is out of beer and needs carbs from somewhere else.

Next I make the stupid mistake of asking who is doing the chat report this week…turns out it’s me. I try to dob Laura in for doing it, but apparently she is away down south this week. According to FA, Laura says “it has been fun.”

Then Jargan comes in and as I said earlier I had no idea what was talked about next. Something about Jargs not buying shoes or carrying them. Some girl named Rhonda is mentioned and apparently Jargs doesn’t want to carry her stuff.

Coach hasn’t restocked the beer fridge this week and is paying for it now. Talk of long service leave etc…B&B has been at the same job for 19 years. I was 7, Jargs was 6. Em-forcer has been at a job for 14 years now.

My chat goes down and I can’t get back on. Swee wonders if I will do the report. Evidently Jono was supposed to do it the next four weeks, but hasn’t shown up yet. Discussion on revoking or extending his chat bitch status.

Another youtube clip. More drinks. The locals aren’t happy so glasses are now replaced with kegs. Chat goes downhill. People are leaving all over the place. Swee declares it to be an easy report. Another youtube clip. Jargs leaves to play FIFA08.
