Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. Very enjoyable game. Good spirit from both teams and well done to the girls, some good skills there ladies, keep it up. Especially "Little Miss Naughty" although she needs to work on those tentative touches and make them a bit more definite. Man of the Match definitely Stone Cold. Jono, if you're going to stay out until 5 am, you can't expect to catch that slippery vinyl ball. A bigger ground would have made it more interesting but given the beer intake at half time, the players may not be enthusiastic about having greater distances to run. Count me in for the rematch.

Hey guys - thank you all for turning up and making it a great day yesterday... Everyone that played, everyone that cheered and everyone that helped organise. Good to meet you all!

How could you tell? From where I was, team 1.5 beat team 1.5! (Moot point for me I guess )

Nah, after sitting through the Australia - England quarterfinal last year this was a marked improvement!

My left knee has been giving me hell since last night but that was an injury from a few weeks ago...

Nice one Laura! (And you're right, that was good timing on that photo - although some people might interpret it as me taking a big face plant...)

I'm also in for a rematch.

Looks like I gave the arm/shoulder a bigger touch up than I realised at the time, think we can safely rule out netball tonight.
Otherwise pulled up well, which proves my wandering up and donw the touchline strategy worked brilliantly

Was a great event for the spectators and looked like everyone was having fun playing too. Think we need a bit of training for next time - am sure there were some heart attacks ready to happen on the field.
Thanks all who organised and participated - great way to spend a Sunday arvo

If you can run and catch you're in.

(actually, if those were the rules, we probably couldn't have fielded two teams yesterday)
