RICHMOND AFL player Graham Polak, who was hit by a tram in Melbourne on Saturday night, had asked to be put back into a medically induced coma.
Doctors were confused until they realised he had amnesia and thought he still played for the Fremantle Dockers. Polak later revealed that being under was better than suffering the imagined reality of playing for his ailing former Club.

All the best dude, stick to tackling other players!

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

    Polak moved from intensive care
    1st July 2008, 15:05 WST

Richmond defender Graham Polak has asked for water and taken his first assisted steps as he continues his remarkable recovery from brain injuries suffered when he was hit by a tram on Saturday.

Polak has walked to the shower and spoken briefly from his general ward bed after being transferred from intensive care at Melbourne's Alfred Hospital.

The 24-year-old awoke from an induced coma on Monday after suffering brain bruising when he was hit by the tram while crossing Dandenong Road in the Melbourne suburb of Armadale.

Don't they teach you how to cross the road (or tram tracks) at school any more?

Look left, look right, look left again. Then, if nothing's coming it is safe to cross. You got to watch those trams though.....they can sneak up on you, especially at 11pm!!!

Hope he makes a full recovery & comes back to Docker-land where there aren't any trams to worry about (yet!).

Yep.. I'm pretty sure that's what Yamba the Ant tells us to do.

Then again, Yamba doesn't have to worry about trams either.
