Aussie Super 14 teams, head-to-head

Apologies if this has been done before...

Just for the hell of it, I thought I'd see what would have happened if the four Australian teams were also competing for their own trophy during the Super 14 this year. This is what I came up with.

What do we get for this?

I'm thinking the Phil Waugh Cup... we can put it on our trophy shelf next to the Rotomahana Challenge Plate, the Bob Templeton Trophy, the ARC Trophy, and the Pura Cup which is just next door at the SCG.

Perhaps we should have a trophy for Tahs v Force, it could have a plaque on it inscribed with the following:

2006: Waratahs
2007: Waratahs
2008: Waratahs

I reckon we should seriously get a trophy made up and the winning forum can hold it till the next Super game, where I'd ship it to Coach if the unthinkable were to happen.

Then we can all get photo's with it.

I was actually thinking of an official ARU one between the 4 Australian sides each year but your idea works too

One problem with my idea is that it might give them an excuse not to do a national comp...

Pretty standard trophy protocol - you need to win the trophy, a draw is sufficient to maintain it.
