From what I saw of those few games, he went very well and deserves selection.

Anyway back to topic - a pretty good squad - but I agree that Cordingly should not have been picked - he is always injured and he is leaving Australia at season's end. What's the point???

haha sour grapes???? none here mate! just brutal truths
by the way coaches dont coach during games they coach between games therefore Mooney has had a whole season to sort out Digby's problems and develop him into an all-rounder. One could argue that two poor tackles doesnt make a season... well i dont know of any other Aussie player thats been done for dangerous tackles this year? (i could be wrong)

I love Digby i think he is the most explosive winger we have and a great impact player but the full package he is not.

i cancel my comment of going for another halfback, i like to see Adam Kiwi Clarke have the chance to prove he can run the Force with number 9 on his back.

Adam Clarke, i watched his news press conference and he seems well composed and plenty of experience, hope he's still with the Force and gets a bit of game time

digby doesnt have the best attitude towards training, he is a winger anyway theres not much to teach him.

How in God's name did No Car Cordingly make the squad. He put himself out to pasture when he signed for a club Europe. I thought Robbie Deans selections were supposed to make sense??

So while on that wavelength i noticed Trestle and Donught made the squad as well??

I doubt Haig Sare would want to head back to NSW now, especially after NSW signed Ratu. Now there's such a large competition for outside backs, with Tahu, Tuquiri, Turner, Norton Knight, Ratu, Carraro(if he plays wing/fullback) and even Horne.

I definitely think Cordingley doesn't deserve to be in the squad, especially if he's already signed to go overseas and hasn't proven his form this season. But they probably want him for his experience. Thought Patrick Phibbs should have been in there somewhere. And Gerard might not have had a great season, but he's still consistent and good. Definitely think he needs to be above Digby on the pecking order.

Really great to see Pek Cowan make the squad as well as Matt Hodgson. Even though matt didn't make too many games, its nice to see his form in those games didn't go unnoticed. There's a bit of a lack of force backs in the team though. Was half expecting to see Rabbit in the mix somewhere, and maybe even O'Young.

Lets pretend just for a moment I know absolutely nothing about Rugby.

Can someone please explain to me how Al "they call me the Gambler, because I know how to fold 'em" Baxter made the Wallabies Squad?

I quoted this of Al's page on Wikipedia

Many leading rugby commentators believe Baxter was largely responsible for the disappointing scrum performances in Australia's World Cup campaign.
