David Pocock leads new brigade into Wallabies

WESTERN FORCE openside flanker David Pocock will be one of the bolters named in the Wallabies' 30-man squad on June 2.

Other young guns in line for selection are Waratahs five-eighth Kurtley Beale, Queensland Reds five-eighth Quade Cooper and Waratahs outside centre Rob Horne.

There is little doubt these players will figure prominently for the Wallabies at some stage between now and the next World Cup in New Zealand in 2011.

They highlight the new generation of players named in the 26-man Australian under-20 squad to play in the world championship in Wales next month.

Other players in that squad worth keeping an eye on are from the Reds, halfback Will Genia, Blair Connor and forwards Ben Daley and Rob Simmons, Force second-rower

With James O'Connor not able to play in the under 20s championship, cause he is to young (crap rule) they should pick him for the wallabies A team, just to get the international experience.

He will look quite dashing. Better than some saffa jersey or a zimbo one

I'd think his number will be more like 18 or 19 for a while. A Mr. Geo Smith still has a mortgage on that number 7 for a while!

I'd expect Bamm Bamm to be Mr 60 minute impact substitution for a while with a couple of starts against the more overmatched opponents. (Unless of course Georgie gets injured)

So you think Bam Bam is going to picked ahead of Phil Waugh?

I think a Aust A wil lbe all Bam Bam will get baring injury. If he is lucky on the bench if they go decided to start with two inside flankers at 6 and 7

they will rotate the players in the non tri nations tests to give some squad players a chance to sort out bench spots. this is where bam-bam will displace phil waugh

That's my opinion too NTT, I reckon he'll grab that opportunity with both hands and begin an extended campaign of displacing Waugh for the bench blindside spot. Not this season, but in the near future he'll be the regular bench flanker for us. When Smith finally hangs up his boots Bamm Bamm will be ready and waiting!
