Penguins win the Eastern Conference!

They didn't do it in game 4 while I was there but the Pittsburgh Penguins totally dominated the Philadelphia Flyers today with a 6-0 win. They win the series 4 games to 1 and are 12-2 in the playoffs. We now await the winner of the Dallas/Detroit series to see who we'll play for the Stanley Cup.

As is a tradition with hockey players Sydney Crosby would not touch the conference trophy when it was presented to him. Players will not touch any cup except the Stanley Cup if they win it. They believe it brings bad luck.

We have to wait till the end of the Stars/Red Wings series for the final schedule. They will probably start this weekend some time. If the Stars win it will begin in Pittsburgh. If the Red Wings win the series game 1 will be in Detroit. The Wings are up 3-2 with game 6 tonight in Dallas.
